The Spirit Of Spring
By Andy Allchurch
Omnipotent the springs spirit, sincere, frevent
Impressive and grand in appearance, she stands keen
And the splendour of the winters scene now incoherent
As the sunshine supreme, has wiped out the white dream
Cherished is the spirit, fertile, reproductive
Increasing and circulating in silence, justifing her name
And knowing all around rejoice at her rebirth seductive
As the heat gain, conscious dispels the rapiers of rain
Dutiful to mother earth, obedient, resolute
Resplendent and repatriated with resources, the spirit unflinching
Her heartbeat conducive to production orchestrate growth en route
And whispering breezes outvote, the villainous wind that’s now wincing
Giving back good health, reconstructed, replaced
Resurgence gives rise to vigour, springs spirit assiduous
Her opus an artistic creation composed in good taste
And life in spring, personifies the embodiment that is grace.
