Death Becomes Warm

Death Becomes Warm
By Andy Allchurch

The blues is eating into my soul
Too much pressure is making me cold
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm
The spirits have entered into my brain
The voices calling are driving me insane
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm

Let me tell you, I was once focused on faith
Dark deeds and dark words were out of place
But I let my defences down
And now I’m stuck with the devils clown
His words are frustrating in transmission
My life has turned into an exhibition
No relief from his vigorous verses
I’m dammed to an eternity of the devils curses

Let me say, I requested love in a fair way
Got down on my knees and began to pray
My resistance was low against attack
Now I’ve got this clown on my back
My thoughts he dehumanises and defiles
My life’s a joke, but no smiles
No respite and no temporary delay
I’m beyond alteration; there’s been an invasion, a fait accompli

The blues is eating into my soul
Too much pressure is making me cold
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm
The spirits have entered my brain
The voices calling are driving me insane
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm

I’ll tell you now, don’t wish for what you desire
It maybe impossible or improbable, but the devil is for hire
When you’re feeling low, feeling withdrawn
A wisecrack from a wise guy, you conform
Your mind is his, nothing to withhold
You’ve signed a treaty, now your body sold
No way out, no escape plan
The devils jester now becomes your right hand man

Now I’m stuck in the devils mine, down and forlorn
A joker on my back from dusk till dawn
No departure lounge, no bargaining plea
And no way will he take an exit fee
He’s killing me with his demands
Life for me is out of my hands
Fires from hell where people scorn
Now this is the place where death becomes warm

The blues is eating into my soul
Too much pressure is making me cold
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm
The spirits have entered into my brain
The voices calling are driving me insane
And now darker enemies dawn
Is this the time that death becomes warm

Country Music

Country Music
By Andy Allchurch

Country music is a southern religion
An easy flow with a swingin rhythm
And it soothes ruffled feathers from wearing thin
It’s a steady progress with wheels in motion
So eat the prairie dust don’t drink the ocean
And wave the flag for those who gave at Bull Run

If you aint country then you aint human
So don’t rock the boat go join the union
The spirit of the south will rise again
While singing country songs with music to match
We’ll drink bourbon whiskey and eat succotash
And go with the flow along the old Wabash

Good country music is a spirit that glides
Like a cloud in the breeze across the skies
Country music is in no need of disguise
The songs that are sung take a leading role
Like a cowboy showing off gun control
It’s something that stays with you heart and soul

Country music is a southern religion
An easy flow with a swingin rhythm
And it soothes ruffled feathers from wearing thin
It’s a steady progress with wheels in motion
So eat the prairie dust don’t drink the ocean
And wave the flag for those who gave at Bull Run

This popular music that’s based on American folk
Stands the test of time like the possum oak
It’s high on the hog high rollin smoke
The guitars and fiddles are made to look sharp
So the banjo and owl jaw harp
And their sound is truly a work of art

From day to day from morning to sundown
This southern country music can wake a ghost town
Bring life to the hearts all around
Step forward step back and step side to side
Pull a cork take a swig enjoy the ride
Country music dances and romances and installs a pride

An easy flow with a swingin rhythm
And it soothes ruffled feathers from wearing thin
It’s a steady progress with wheels in motion

And wave the flag for those who gave at Bull Run

Cowboy at Heart

Cowboy at Heart
By Andy Allchurch

In these changing times, I’ll try to change my ways
No more the cowboy riding through the prairie haze
I’m coming home and I hope to settle down
But remember I’ve been in the saddle for a while
Riding the cattle trail living life old style
Am I ready to be a man about town?
You see I’m a man for the open spaces
I’m not one for airs and graces
I’m just an old cowboy at heart
You see I can’t think of anything better than being a drover
Pushing cattle till my time is over
What I have now, I don’t want to fall apart

The life we live, is one of respect and trust
I make the money for us eating the dust
But when I’m back I hope to settle down
This life I’ve chosen has given us a good home
But I am one who’s born to roam
Am I ready to be a man about town?
You see I’m a man that can’t be indoors
I’m one of the outdoor cowboy warriors
I’m just an old cowboy at heart
You see living and working on the western plains is a bonus
This old prairie stands alone so timeless
What I have now, I don’t want to fall apart

Given enough time alone, I’ll reflect on where I belong
Maybe this next drive will be my swan song
So upon my return I hope to settle down
I’ve had a good run at doing what I do best
Maybe I’ll stay instead of being a house guest
Am I ready to be a man about town?
You see I need help to pass the test
I’m a man of the Wild West
I’m just an old cowboy at heart
You see it’s hard for an old ramrod to break the chains
It’s hard to halt cattle drive campaigns
What I have now, I don’t want to fall apart

In these changing times, I will change my ways
No more the cowboy riding through the prairie haze
I’m coming home and I will settle down
I’m done and dusted sitting in the saddle, saddle sore
I want my woman, my porch, my front door
I am ready to be a man about town
You see I’m giving up the open spaces
I want my woman’s warm gentle embraces
But I’m still an old cowboy at heart
You see the prairie life is stuck fast in my old bones
My mind it wanders sometimes moans
But what I have now, I don’t want to fall apart

I’m still an old cowboy at heart.

Call The Devil

Call the Devil
By Andy Allchurch

Out of society, of the human commune
Alone shrouded in solitude
Thrust to the depths of time-served despair
Conscious, but cold, hanging the aim
Before the last breath, by telepathy call my name
I am the one, one of time honoured many named trustees
You know I am not anonymous
I am Lucifer, Beelzebub, Satan, and Mephistopheles

Self inflicted ruin, life a forlorn hope
Sombre solidified in sorrow
Indigent, lacking necessities to survive the life capsized
Contemplating, and sedate, slice the vein
The blade razor sharp, but scream shout my name
I am the one, who can give restitution with many guarantees
You know I am not anonymous
I am Lucifer, Beelzebub, Satan, and Mephistopheles

Call the devil, restore the life abandoned
Ingratiate oneself into favour
Pay later for the deed my unacknowledged friend
Welcome, deal sealed, well known again
But it’s everlasting mutation, by not worshiping my name
I am the one, god of the unseen prince of Hades
You know I am not anonymous
I am Lucifer, Beelzebub, Satan, and Mephistopheles.

Booze and Pills

Booze and Pills
By Andy Allchurch

I’m in a whirl, my minds in a spin
I’m lyin on my back thinkin where did it all begin
What is the problem, what is the fuss
I’ve travelled among the stars, I’m on Venus
I’m going crazy, I’m going slim
I need food for my belly; I like pizza when the crust is thin
Booze and pills, have taken their toll
I’ve got to recharge, find a new soul

Hello my friend, I believe it’s your round
Come and join me in the lost and found
My life is over, my worlds fallen apart
That evil little charlatan has gone with my money and broke my heart
Join with me let’s cruise the bars
We can have a conference and drink ourselves to mars
Please don’t leave me, don’t walk away
I’m outdoors; I need a friend, and somewhere to stay

I’m in some pain, my body is a wreck
I’m lyin on my back thinkin is this the ships deck
Where’s the fire, where is the smoke
I’m drowning beneath white horses, doing the under stroke
I’m going native, I’m going blue
I need heat for my body, I like homemade whiskey from  Kathmandu
Booze and pills, have taken their toll
I’ve got to disembark, go on shore patrol

Hello my friend, I believe it’s your roundCome and join me in the lost and found
My life is over, my worlds fallen apart
That evil little charlatan has gone with my money and broke my heart
Join with me let’s cruise the bars
We can have a conference and drink ourselves to mars
Please don’t leave me, don’t walk away
I’m outdoors; I need a friend, and somewhere to stay

I’m in a trance, my legs are on hold
I’m lyin on my back thinkin am I diggin for gold
So who is fishin, so who is tall
I’m on a magic carpet, with Charles de Gaulle
I’m going private, I’m going punk
I need photos for my album; I’m on an Apollo mission finding space junk
Booze and pills, have taken their toll
I’ve got to redirect, find an open goal

Hello my friend, I believe it’s your round
Come and join me in the lost and found
My life is over, my worlds fallen apart
That evil little charlatan has gone with my money and broke my heart
Join with me let’s cruise the bars
We can have a conference and drink ourselves to mars
Please don’t leave me, don’t walk away
I’m outdoors; I need a friend, and somewhere to stay

I’m at the door, my world is closin in
I’m lyin on my back thinkin is this livin in sin
Why am I talkin, why am I numb
I feel like pond life, I’m a bum
I’m going down, I’m going obscene
I need a good woman to hold, I need to empty my pipe dream
Booze and pills, have taken their toll
I’ve got to reassemble, find my cruise control

Hello my friend, I believe it’s your round
Come and join me in the lost and found
My life is over, my worlds fallen apart
That evil little charlatan has gone with my money and broke my heart
Join with me let’s cruise the bars

Nobody Cares

Nobody Cares
By Andy Allchurch

Nobody cares about the scars inside me
The emptiness within
That’s trying to break free
The itching that is beneath my skin
In darkness alone
Where does one begin?

Nobody cares about the loneliness I feel
The silent surroundings
Is this place for real?
The fighting going on in my brain
Without a deal
I can’t start again

I need beautiful days surrounded by love
A pleasure in my heart to go hand in glove
I need a person who has no jealousness
A person who won’t be wicked to impress
These wonderful things so imaginative
I need a trusted friend, a love, and the will to live

Nobody cares that my life is unwrapped
There’s no control
Over my freedom that’s trapped
With sense of loss, reason gone
It’s a scary apartment
No love for one

Nobody cares about me losing my mind
The invisible thoughts
They think acts of kind
But i can see beyond closed doors
All windows sealed
No friends to adore

I need beautiful days surrounded by love
A pleasure in my heart to go hand in glove
I need a person who has no jealousness
A person who won’t be wicked to impress
These wonderful things so imaginative
I need a trusted friend, a love, and the will to live

Nobody cares about this moment in time
Misplaced and misleading
No horizons on the line
It’s only my heart that lies bleeding
Living without care
This body lies freezing

I need beautiful days surrounded by love
A pleasure in my heart to go hand in glove
I need a person who has no jealousness
A person who won’t be wicked to impress
                                                       These wonderful things so imaginative
A pleasure in my heart to go hand in glove
I need a trusted friend, a love, and the will to live.
